NEW Forum for Baby Product Reviews
I noticed there are often a lot questions about advice regarding baby products. I have always felt that we all need to pool our collective experience somewhere, so that other moms and moms-to-be have a great place to go to find out what products are recommended by everyday moms.
My forum The Wise Mommy Forums
is dedicated to discussing baby products and what we as moms find useful and what we find not worth buying. The more voices we have, the better the information is that we can get out there to other moms. I need your help in making this successful! The forum was offically launched last night, so you ladies would have the opportunity to become the first members of this forum and let your opinions or questions be heard. We will not only have a place for product reviews, but also a general chat among moms and moms-to-be, a place to advertise anything you may want to sell (momtrepreneurs welcome!), and also a place for coupons and codes. We often get coupon codes for our site because we are an official reviewer of baby products.
On another note, I also run the associated website The Wise Mommy
, where we review items 5-7 times a week and have up-to-date recall alerts (which are overflowing lately!).
Thank you for your time! I hope to get to know you all! And also thank you so much to the mod for allowing me to post this!

I am an Industrial Design student at The Art Institute of Portland and I have the wonderful opportunity to redesign a stroller. I currently don't have any children of my own, so I am asking for your help. I want to make sure my redesign is not only safe but functional as well. If you could please take a few minutes to answer my questions or give me any suggestion I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time and input,
Please describe your location (city, suburb, ect.)
How many children to you have?
What are the ages?
What type of stroller are you currently using ( jogger, umbrella, two seater ect..)?
How did you acquire your current stroller (a previously child’s, a gift or do you purchase it new yourself ect..)?
If the stroller was purchased, what was the retail price?
What is the ideal price for a stroller?
What is the maximum you would spend on a stroller?
If the stroller was purchased, was it bought for the safety features, price, a certain brand or other (please explain)?
If you where to design the ideal stroller what features would you include and what features would you change?

New Community for Educational Toys
I just thought I'd share a link, I just setup a new community called Brighter Crayons, specifically for educational toys.
It can be found here: http://community.livejournal.com/brightercrayons/
If you've found a product as a parent (or educator) that has really helped your child learn, or if you make educational products, please feel free to stop by and drop a link.
Also, if you work with children as a parent or educator on a regular basis and are looking for new educational toys and tools, feel free to join or watch the community. It's pretty empty right now, but I'll be adding links as I come across them and hope others will post as they find things.

Hi. I'm new here :) My name is Jennifer and I have two kids. Matthew is 6 and Hailey is 3. We are looking into swing sets for the children. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a nice but cheep wooden swing set. There are so any different ones out there that it is a little over-whelming. I need it to work best for 2 to 4 children. Thanks :)

My daughter is very narrow and long.... and I'm having a super hard time finding clothes that fit her properly. She is between an 18mos and a 24mos. She needs the length of the 24 but the waist of the 18. My question for you is this....
What stores/brands tend to run long in the legs and small in the waist?
I'm new here and I'm not sure if these posts are even allowed but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask!

They Might Be Giants....Here come the ABC's
This cd is pretty awesome. The tunes are really catchy and you don't feel like you are listening to a kids cd, over and over and over again...as is usually the case! There is a dvd that is also available, which I want to rent before deciding to buy, but I highly recommend the cd. My girls (almost 4 and almost 3 both love it) Current Mood: chipper

I'm going out on a limb here, and I doubt anyone will actually go for this but... I have a friend in need. She is a pregnant teen but her mother refuses to let her have a baby shower so now her little girl is going to be born without all the goodies a lot of us thankfully got to give our children.
I'm throwing her a baby shower behind her mom's back... thing is - I only have 4 people to invite and that's not much. If any of you guys would be interested in getting her something (however small it doesn't matter, it's the thought that counts) PLEASE EMAIL ME. PlsmaChic@excite.com
She's having a little girl, & she's due on October 8th (so this is all really last minute)she hasn't registered anywhere because she doesn't think she's getting a shower, and the only thing she has is a crib (and she's breastfeeding). She could use diapers, pacifiers, outfits, etc. or even a gift card to babies r us or something... Thank you for everything and God bless.
Please help her if you can... Thank you.
